The BC-FR range of adjustable decking and paving supports comes with all the functionality of the BC range, whilst offering a B fire rating. Height adjustment of 11 to 1025mm.
The fire-resistance properties of all components of the BC-FR range have been tested in accordance with European standards EN 4554-2 (toxicity emission) and EN 13501-1 (smoke density and ease of ignition/fire spread), and the range has been awarded a Bfl-S1 rating.
THE BC-FR pedestal system is perfectly suited to external flooring applications ranging from terraces, patios, decking, paving and any other raised floor which demands a B fire-rating flooring system. The strong and stable pedestals are further supported by the locking system which fixes the pedestal in place, preventing any rotation or height change.
BC-FR decking pedestal comes complete with a full suite of B-rated accessories such as shims, spacer tabs, slope correctors, and edging products – enabling you to deliver a complete fire-rated solution.
For ultimate flexibility when it comes to separating pavers with odd shapes, curves, etc, the BC-FR range allows rectangular or circular tabs to be placed individually on the pedestal head in a position to suit your design, maintaining perfect alignment and facilitating drainage. The range has spacer tabs in a variety of heights and widths to suit pavers of assorted shapes and sizes, including 20mm porcelain.
Shim options are available for the head of the BC-FR pedestal and depending on where they are used, can be used to aid stability, deaden sound, or to add height either uniformly or to compensate for variations in paver thickness.
Whether correcting existing groundworks, or creating ramps and slopes, the BC-FR range has the potential for up to 10% correction to be added to the pedestal base, and a further 5% to the pedestal head. Additional tools allow you to identify the correction required for each pedestal and then perform the perfect adjustment.
Joist Supports are used to firmly attach fire-rated composite or metal battens to the head of the pedestal.
If additional height is required for particular pedestal models, Couplers can be a solution. Only supplied on advice - contact us for more information.
Our U-Wall, U-Edge and ALUgrate products allow clean finishes against walls and provide excellent drainage options. The U-End allows the creation of vertical steps where the terrace edge is not enclosed.

For tile formats larger than 60mm and / or pedestal heights greater than 100mm, additional supporting pedestals per tile may be required. Mesh backing on tiles may also be advisable in these circumstances.
